CAMP Adrenaline Pant

Discontinued

The Adrenaline overpant is named after the hormone excreted by your adrenal glands during competitive ski mountaineering races. Especially useful for long races like the Mezzalama or Grand Traverse, the insulated wind pants have full side zips so you can put them on over a race suit or basic softshell. They are also awesome to wear before and after races so you don’t freeze your bits and bobs.

The pants pack into their own pocket so you can easily carry them mountaineering, where they are great for technical sections with a lot of slow and cold rope work. Finally they are perfect for hanging around camp during an extended trip; zip them on without taking off your ski boots and freezing your toes.

  • Hitex rip-stop (15D) nylon is windproof and relatively durable.
  • Improved DWR treatment makes these relatively waterproof.
  • PrimaLoft insulation dries fast and keeps you relatively warm.
  • Adjustable elastic waist band and shaped knees fit you relatively well.
  • Zippered rear pocket / stow pocket keeps you relatively organized.
  • Stretch fabric inserts on the back panel & crotch move relatively well.
  • Full length side zips so you can put the pant on relatively fast.
  • Reinforced scuff guards keep them relatively crampon-puncture-free.
  • Elastic + Velcro cuffs hug your boots so you stay relatively snow-free.

Nick Rosser (downright abused product)

I like the security these pants provide. I have used them on multiple occasions on longer overnight missions: they are warm and light. Durability is not their strong suit. I took a little spill skiing down some frozen mank and ripped them from the back of my knee to my butt. Nothing that a little dental floss and gear patches could not mend, they still work great, and now I can keep my dirtbag climber style intact!

Question from Chantel

Sizing question.... I'm 5'8, 135lb, 27" waist and I'd like to wear a soft shell pant underneath. What size would I be? Thanks

Answer from jbo

Hi Chantel, a medium should do the trick for a fairly tight fitting soft shell. If you wear Saga, you might need the XL.

These pants have been a great addition to my backpack for long tours and hut trips. They compress into a light and small package and bring some additional security in case of frigid temps or an unexpected night out. Easy on and easy off. My initial impression is that they don't appear to be the most durable pants out there, but that is the price for lightweight, I think. Very happy with these pants.
For reference, I'm 6'0", 170 lbs with a 31 waist and a size Large fits me well.

Hi Andrew, unfortunately they don't publish a size chart but large should be perfect.

Hi JFG, large would work over some tight pants, but probably XL over anything else.

Question from Stephanie

Hello,

I was trying to decide if medium would work. I am 5'4" 125 28" waist.

Thanks.

Answer from jbo

Hi Stephanie, I think the Medium would be long and baggy on you. Small would be a better fit.

Question from Cory

Just a question of sizing for this overpant. I'm 5'9 160 32" waist.
Thanks

Hi Cory, I'd say the medium would be good for you. The large wouldn't be terrible but the length on the medium is probably a bit better in ski boots.
