Simple system for those looking to cut their own skins. The parts seem high enough quality and the assembly is straightforward. One star off because the bungee / cap system is a bit wonky, and it is difficult to find the precise amount of bungee to include in order to make the clip stay shut. Had to fiddle with it for a bit prior to finding an adequate lock. Otherwise no issues.

This helmet is light and comfortable and breaths well. I often forget I'm wearing it on the uphill and rarely find I'm overheating. For cold days, there's enough adjustment to allow for a small liner hat. The headlamp / goggle clip works easily without issue. Some others have had issue with the magnetic clip system but it hasn't been a problem for me. It's also rolled around my trunk a number of times and hasn't shown any wear, so durability seems OK.

Additionally, it's barely robust enough for spring missi...
This shovel is great - strikes the perfect balance between being small and light (and fitting into a small race pack) with being robust enough to actually have faith in when you (hopefully never) need it.

I purchased the CAMP Rapid Racing Pack for resort training, racing, and for spring touring in the North East. I used it for a number of days of both inbounds skinning and in the backcountry over the past season. As advertised, this is a lightweight pack, and has a number of useful features for fast tours. The side access crampon pouch is easily accessible, allowing storage of frequently needed items without having to dig through the pack. When not needed, the separator can be unzippered to allow for more r...
