Question from Adam Eslahpazir

I have a pair of dynafit superlight 2.0 bindings and am looking for a brake. My skis are 115 underfoot and I don’t see a brake that will fit that size. Does dynafit make a brake that size that will clip onto my binding?
Thanks

Hi Adam, unfortunately 105 is the widest brake for that binding.

Question from Dan

This is Dan from 2/16 post with photo. In regards to jbo's response to my post, I have Manaslu skis by Dynafit with 95 mm underfoot. Should I get the Radical ST 92mm w/baseplate model? Will that work on those skis?

Thanks again! I really appreciate the quick responses. It is hard to get this information up here in north Idaho.

Dan

Hey Dan! Tough to say for sure without having the ski here, but I'd say there's a really good chance the 92mm will work as the Radical brakes are usually sized very conservatively so they tend to have extra wiggle room. When in doubt, go for 100mm though!

Question from Dan

This is Dan from the 1/29/18 comment regarding replacing my ski break. I need help verifying what type of binding in break I have. Below is a picture of both and I am hoping you can confirm for me what type of break I need to replace the one in the picture that is missing its retainer. Thanks so much for your help.

Hey Dan! Looks like you have the first gen Radical which used a brake attachment system very similar to the Dynafit Vertical. We occasionally get the Vertical Brake Retainers in here but we are out at the moment so the only way to get that retainer would be to order a complete brake which includes the brake assembly, the retainer, and two new lateral adjustment springs which you could discard during installation.

Hi Dan, alternately you could get the Radical ST brakes listed above. You would need to unmount your heel piece and swap baseplates to install.

Question from Michael

I have the Dynamite Radical ST 2.0 binding on Blizzard G8, 108w. Do I use the Radical ST 110mm or the Radical 2.0 120mm to replace brakes?

Thanks Michael

Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Michael, thanks for reaching out! Make sure you get the Radical 2.0 brakes, the 105mm brake would be fine!

Question from Dan

I need to replace the retainer plate for my brakes on my radical binding. Do you carry that, and if so, how do I order it? I didn't see it listed as a separate part for sale. Thanks for all the great work you do.

Answer from Nate

Hi Dan, the radical brakes and accompanying bits are only available as a complete unit as pictured above. We are unable to get them separately.

Question from Matt

Hello I am looking at purchasing the new Rotation 10 bindings for skis with a 95mm underfoot. First question is do you think a 90 mm brake would have enough wiggle room or flex to fit? Second question is will the Radical st brakes work with the rotation 10's, they appear to be structurally the same but not sure? Thanks!

Answer from jbo

Hi Matt, unless you have a really unusual sidewall, the 90s should just fit. Unfortunately the Radical ST (1 or 2) bindings won't work with the Rotation 10.

Question from ilia b

Looking for the TLT RADICAL FT 2.0 brakes 110mm.
1/17/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hi Ilia! Unfortunately I just have the 120mm 2.0 brakes in stock for the time being and to my knowledge we aren't expecting any refreshers throughout the rest of the season.

Answer from ilia b

OK. Is it for TLT RADICAL FT 2.0?
Can you give me a exact link ?

Answer from jbo

Hi ilia, they are in the drop list on this page as "Radical 2.0 120mm x1". That works for the ST or FT and they are priced individually.

Question from Becky

Is it possible to replace the brake arms on Radical ST or ST 2.0 while they're mounted to the skis?

Does removing the brake system entirely compromise the binding?
12/28/2017
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Becky! They're integrated into the baseplate so they have to be un-mounted to replace them, but I'd definitely not attempt removing the brake system as the climbing mode kind of depends on an anti-rotation device located on the U shaped brake arm to stay in place.
