Bought these after having abused my TLT5's for the last two seasons. I went with the Spitfires this year because the wider toe box fit my foot so much better. These also keep the wet out much better due to the more enclosed shell. I also like the cuff lock mechanism much better. I don't have to line anything up, or worry that it didn't engage. Just throw the latch and head down. Also only one hole to cut in my pants. I was able to ski more aggressively in the TLT's but I think that's mostly because the fit ...

I've skied these just once (not counting carpet skiing). I've been on tech bindings for 10+ years but these are my first race type binding. So far so good. Easy in and out. Not having a high heel riser is different but not the end of the world (since getting the TLT5's for the last two seasons and the La Sportiva Spitfires this season, I rarely use it anyway because the increased ankle articulation). Got these skis for a deal on skimo.co and had my first chance to use them in the Wasatch yesterday (12/21/13). Fresh 8" really let the early rise tips show their stuff. It took a couple of runs to get used to how much these skis want to be driven. I'm used to having to sit back in the powder to get my tips to rise, but these demand forward cuff pressure and when you do you get rewarded with intuitive turning and excellent stability. I weight 205# and I picked the 177 length to save weight, regardless these ...
