Two seasons of racing on these and I'm very satisfied. I previously raced on the Dynafit PDG and these skis blow them out of the water. Weight is lower, of course, but it's the shape that makes the difference. While Dynafit race skis are stiff, cambered, nose-diving machines, the ultimate is more relaxed in the tip, making it much more forgiving. While no race ski is going to be a GS competitor, the softer tip lets you ski much more aggressively than the skittery-stiff tip on the PDG. The bit of early rise ...

Side note-- I have TLT5Ps and don't have this issue. Could be more sole wear, but I suspect it's a PDG problem.

Used for racing and training on atomic ultimate 65s with tlt5P boots. Durability, weight, and looks are all predictable and good. I have the older toe that has known lock/unlock issues, but I've yet to run into any issues myself. The toe lever force for release is pleasantly low, making transitions quicker. The step in force for the heel is also pleasantly low, and I've never had any issues with the heel prereleasing, even with pretty aggressive skiing in races. One complaint that I have about the toe is th...

This is my third season on these skis, and they're still amazing. Lots of light skis are either super stiff or super noodly-- must be hard to find the perfect medium flavor. Atomic found it. This ski feels like it's 10 cm longer than it is, and it skis soft snow better than it has any business doing with a 78 mm waist. I have these mounted up with the dynafit superlight v1.0 bindings, and I couldn't be happier. I've used this ski for ski mountaineering, training, and traverses, but it has also become my g...

Used these for training and racing. Shortly after the start of the second race, one of the poles snapped at the alu-composite interface. Discussed with dynafit and was told this was a known issue and that they are getting out of the pole business. Good concept, but sub-optimal construction. As a side note, the wrist strap has a very irritating mechanism which has a mind of its own and can be hard to adjust. I'd look at other options.
