I had looked at these bindings for a lightweight approach ski for moderate climbing terrain where I would feel comfortable using my TLT boots. I paired them with a G3 Stinger XCD ski for a decently lightweight scaled ski. Ultimately I am breaking this setup apart as I just do not like these bindings for my personal use. So after a season using these and also using a Dynafit race suit I have some thoughts. I believe the triangular cut-out on the TLT pant is intended for the Ultra-Lock buckle system contrary to my initial impressions. The fact that the pant lacks an instep stirrup is where things go wrong. On my race suit the pant cuff stays in a fixed position relative to the boot because the stirrup prevents rotational movement. In reference to the comments on breathability, in my experience Gore's standard Windstopper doesn't breath that well in the scheme of things for high output. The Gore Windstopper Next to Skin in my old Mountain Hardwear Transition tights seems better, but apparently neither are made anymore. The full length zipper of this jacket gives you a lot of control over venting though. The mesh over the back is awesome. I find this more valuable on the down than on the up.
