From the ashes of the Fish-X series the Rise-X has risen. Movement’s flagship race ski is a combination of the former Fish and Pro-X series at a much more affordable price point. Iterating on the previous designs, the Swiss engineers reinforced the binding area while keeping the weight down. Using the patented North TPT wrapping process, carbon fiber is woven onto the ultralight wood core. Additional layers of carbon and fiberglass are snuck in as necessary. Movement looks to have nailed the race formula with the new Rise-X Pro.
- North TPT lamination wraps the core in dynamic light tri-axial carbon fibers.
- Core is Karuba Paulownia which is reinforced with some poplar wood for extra strength.
- 1.3mm of P-Tex 5000 on the base gives a race glide and impact resistance at a low weight.
- Unique fish-shaped tip notch accepts standard bungee style race skins.
Update 2016/17: The Rise Pro-X is unchanged except for some new graphics.
Update 2017/18: The Rise has been replaced by the Race Pro 66.
