If you can find the entrance, the Hallway is an aesthetic, steep line with a really fun runout. Not too steep and not too mellow, in great conditions this line will make you feel like a hero as you take care of business in a moderate couloir followed by a really fun, surfy avalanche path called the Tube.
There are many ways to ski the Hallway but the most direct is to skin right up to the entrance. Starting in Little Cottonwood Canyon, park near Alta lodge and start skinning the north side of the canyon towards Flagstaff Mountain along Emma's Ridge. Once on the peak, travel north on the ridge that separates Cardiff Fork and Days Fork to the top of Peak 10561. From here you can rip skins and start looking for the entrance to the Hallway. From the top of Peak 10561, start skiing on the ridge heading north. Keep your eye left (west) not too long after from where you started, you will want to ski in some trees while keeping your eyes to your right (north) looking for the entrance. which will have at least two. The first entrance may require a mandatory drop on low snow year, and on a big snow year the drop will just be a little choke to ski through. The second entrance is immediately below the first. Once you're in, enjoy the line and ski it all the way through The Tube, and from the bottom you can transition and start making your way up another line or back to LCC via Powerline.
The top entrance can be a bit tough to find and/or not filled in entirely.
Fun fact: Couloir is french for "hallway."

Awesome. Booted up from below - it was a snowy powder day and we didn't know how to find it from above. Once you know you know, but we didn't. Little headwall, interesting entrance options, great chute, great finish.
