I would add to this, that the old version, which I have, needed a fair bit of shell work to fit my foot, but if you are willing to do that, you can get a good fit. No one that I know of who has either version has avoided some kind of shell work to make them fit. Once you have a good fit, they ski and tour exceptionally well. This is coming from a guy who has struggled to the prefect balance for the last 20 years with at least 7 previous boots.

I put Intuition Tour Wraps in my first generation Zero G's and I have no problem getting them on now. Previously, with my Tour Tongue liners, I had to put the liner on my foot and then step into the shell with the liner one my foot to get into them. The new tour wraps have no decrease in walking stride range, like the old ones, and ski better than tongue liners in my opinion. It is a marked improvement and I would imagine, this would carry over to the new version as well.

Thanks for your response Jeff. Regarding the brakes, your site says these are not compatible with ski brakes. There are long travel brakes I've found on the internet. By not compatible, do you mean with normal Alpinist brakes, or not compatible with brakes at all. I'm wondering if these long travel brakes are the correct component. Thanks.

Hi, I have a Volkl VTA 108, and 98 mounted with Alpinist 12 bindings. I wanted them to work with both my Tecnica Zero G Tour Pros and La Sportiva Skorpius boots, both size 29, but pushing the 15mm limit of the Alpinist heel adjustment. After doing a mock mount on a 2x4 to ensure that it would work, I asked my shop to mount them and they got the 108's right, but the 98's were a bit off an only fit my ZGP's. I am thinking the solution might be to mount a pair of the long travel heels you sell to make the 9...
