Blue Ice Mako Extender

Most of us venturing into the alpine frequently don't bother to take quickdraws because they are not particularly versatile and are somewhat hefty. But Blue Ice's new Mako Extender quickdraw changes that calculus with its adjustable length and palatable 73g weight. Setting up an anchor or extending a placement, for example, is made simple with the Mako's tubular sling and non-snagging 28 mm-wide gate openings. The Mako Extender accomplishes enough for its weight that it should easily earn its place in the pack for alpine mountain objectives.
