How does the zero g peak compare to the scarpa f1 xt? They both seem to be "beefier" lightweight touring boots with a ratchet power strap. Can I expect similar downhill performance on both? How much better is the performance compared to a lightweight boot without a ratchet strap like the f1 lt? Im looking for a boot to pair with a Salomon MTN 86 Pro, for big mountaineering objectives and spring traverses in the alps while making sure my freeride friends don't have to wait too much for me on the way down.

I have a ski installed with the brakeless ATK SL World Cup on the R01 plate, if I would like to add brakes to the ski what is my best course of action, is there a way to avoid re drilling the skis?
