Hi Steve, These have a standard rectangular mount reinforcement area. Any binding is fine!

Hey Marc, We have not tested this specific toe without a heel. In the past, our tests have shown that most toes release between 2 and 4 (aside from ATK toes with adjustable settings). Keep in mind that on this binding (and most touring bindings), the lateral release in ski mode is controlled via the heel with the lateral release setting.
