I think 1cm shorter would not be much of an issue. I've had to replace the front rubber tip by a bit of knotted bungee cord due to the metal cutting it anyways, and it works even better. Thanks again for all the information. You guys are super helpful.

Hi Emmett, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my questions. I am pretty sure I removed 99% of the old glue each time with a scraper. I could feel the backing not stick to my fingers. But your comment about the different formulas might be the key to this years-long puzzle! I do live in a warmer climate, but the tubes I bought were probably the North American version. Hi Skimo.co, I bought the Speedskins for my Speed 90 in late 2020. Over the course of two years I started getting bits of skin residue on my bases until one day I couldn't even ski down, on a cold day (picture of peak problematic). I thoroughly removed the old glue and reapplied a fresh layer of Pomoca glue, they came out like-new but the issue slowly came back again over the course of a year.
