The Crazy Idea Half Blade jacket is a packable and zoned insulating layer designed for fast movement in biting cold, warming up for a race, or widening your margin of error on a long traverse. The lightweight construction won’t make an impact on your potential top-end speed by weighing you down or causing you to overheat. It is meant to be an accessory piece for travel through challenging terrain when your normal, non-insulated jacket or skinsuit just won’t cut it. Carefully zoned with a light layer of Polartec Alpha, the breathability and ability to retain warmth was kept high to ensure peak performance without bogging you down. Being cold or wet isn’t awesome, but being warm and dry is so make sure you bring a Half Blade along on all of your adventures.
- Polartec Alpha Synthetic insulation stays warm even if you manage to drench it.
- External zippered chest pocket is big enough for extra food or a camera.
- Packs into its own mesh pocket.

Questions & Reviews
The hood is not fully insulated, just the neck area which is nice when its being layered (no hunch back hood problem).
The sleeves have a tendency to bunch up when putting on over a fleece or thicker wool base layer.
Overall great jacket, packs small, love the pockets and half insulated hood.
