My Skiing

Calm, technical. Much piste experience (10+ years), but quite inexperienced off-piste (2-3 years).

I enjoy long spring skinning sessions in variable snow in all between 20-45* terrain.

My Gear

Movement Magnet 177 (ATK RT), SkiTrab Maestro 171 (ATK RT), 4Frnt Hoji 187 (ATK FR14).

TLT6P was my only boot earlier. Very satisfied with performance, but not so much with fit.

Now I use Atomic Hawx 130Xtd For the two larger skis, and try to find a boot for the Maestro. Tried the Alien RS. While performance is plenty, it's way to much volume in the ancle and instep, thus to unstable. Considering the PG Black instead.

Hi, So, a while ago I bought the Dynafit Carbonio by PG (Pierre Gignoux Black) boots to pair my SkiTrab Maestro 171 skis and race bindings. I absolutely love this combo, especially for typical spring skiing. I would however also like a more powder and winter oriented ski for these boots. Something with a bit more flotation that's a bit more forgiving in deep snow. Do you guys think the UL 85 (169) would be a good fit? Or would you rather recommend something different? PS, i have demoed the volkl BMT 90 ...
Has anyone done a realease test of this binding (or Version 3) combined with the PG boots? Of course there is no official values, but it would be very helpful to have some idea of the lateral and vertical release values.
