Just re-upped my skin game this year (3 sets of BD Ascension Nylons) and needed a better trim tool than the included BD letter opener. Tried to procure the K2 model but no luck ... sold out everywhere. Went with the G3 as my second option ... glad i did. Put simply ... it works ... and works well. Had my skins perfectly trimmed in under 15 minutes a pair with perfect edge spacing. Purchase with confidence.
I've been using the Radical ST 2's on my inbounds and backcountry skis: 30 days this winter. I've been very happy with them. No real pre-releases to speak of - even with plenty of ski patrol work with heavy toboggans (with heavier people loaded) down steep runs. And i'm a bigger guy to begin with (210 lbs). Of the few wrecks i've had where they needed to release they did. On the tour side of things ... 100%. No releases, no problems with ice, no problems with brakes ... super solid. Well ... here is the problem: I know some folks rave about the buckles but not me. They come loose all ...

That would be the first time I've heard that theory ... definitely possible but I'd guess the black bulb is just a plastic / rubber cover over the metal swag and unlikely to break except under extreme stress. I use multiple zip-ties in case a single one breaks. It's not perfect but until i hear otherwise i'm treating it as if it is not engineered to break.

SkiMoCo is the bomb! Quick service and best selection. Just wanted to get that out of the way ... now i'd like your opinion: Which toe piece would you choose between the Speed Radical and the Speed Turn for a lighter weight touring ski? Thanks!
