Hey Robert, I'm 6' as well. While I'm happy with the 177cm it's for 2 main reasons (1) kick turns are easier I injured myself on a pair of 183cm Factions mid-year being too absentminded on a steep slope; (2) even frontside I often slightly undersize because I gravitate towards steep black moguls fields no matter the ski setup. These skis have plenty of carving power *especially* for a lightweight freeride rocker-profile ski, but in your specific case I would just send it and get the 184cm size especially ...

For those wondering, yes, these really are 10/10 skis at a consistently superb price and you should absolutely get them. Dynafit created a relatively simple ski construction, but executed it extremely well. The ski profile is essentially a modern freeride "banana" with an easy-to-pivot, early-rise tip, but with admittedly a more traditional tail so we're kind of in that Dynastar M-tour or Rossignol Nano territory which are themselves very popular skis. The most noteworthy feature of the Dynafit Free 97 i...
I absolutely love everything about these skis: 10/10. The Scott Superguide 95 is the most powerful variable snow skis I've had the pleasure of skiing within this weight class. I weighed these at 1492g and 1478g in a 178cm. I assume its insane power at this weight is due to the beech and/or aramid along with an actual full length sidewall and longer effective edge. The tip has the best, most abrupt rise I've seen to stay well above chunky snow while maintaining large amount of surface contact: it's a t...
So after skiing this ski in the Spring in addition to Winter I've already made the decision to sell the ski and go back to my Dynafit Free 97. It's worth updating my review because i already mentioned the main issue with this ski: variable snow performance. But let's go into greater detail as to why. I'll use the dreaded word: it's an extremely "pingy" ski. Flick this ski with your forefinger and that's probably all you need to know. It's translating this vibration into sound and into the hand that's ...
