Probably my new favorite 85 waisted ski. A little heavy for an 85 waisted ski, but that weight seems to be well utilized. I am skiing the 178 length and with the little wider shovel and tail it has been a great semi-deep powder ski. If it was going to be in 2+ feet of powder, I would probably opt for my Backland 100s, but anything below that, this ski works quite well and is really fun. I have not had a chance to test them in icy or crusty conditions or steep chutes yet. Looks great, love the visible ca...

I now have probably 50 tours with the Kilo and I still think my initial review was accurate. The heal hold has continued to be excellent. The range of motion is great. Very little heal movement when going uphill, so no blister issues. My only possible complaint (other than the boring colors) is they are a little more fiddly on transition than the the Traverse. The upper buckle keeper notch is also kind of useless in my opinion as I would not want to take the time to put it in and out of that position a...

Wanted to post a quick review for those looking at this new boot. Just have one tour on them, so take that into account. I am coming from the Fischer Traverse CS. Overall I think they feel beefier/stiffer than the Traverse and ski a little better, at least on a 85 wasted ski, in very variable conditions. Definitely a noticeable difference. Closer to Fischer Trans Alp Pro in my opinion. But I am comparing a brand new boot to one with a couple seasons of heavy use. Fit is similar to what has been menti...

This is a review of the Ace Tip Attachment, which did come with rivets contrary to the description above. I replaced the tips of a pre-cut Blizzard skin for my Blizzard Zero G 95 skis with the Ace Tip Attachment. I did it so I could tip rip the skis without cutting a notch and so far so good. A little concerned with it staying in the notch, but through 4 transitions worked well and I was able to tip rip just fine. I will update if that changes. The only real negative was that the pull cord is differen...

Love this top for every day touring as my outer layer. I will generally wear just a single long-sleeve layer underneath, or if really cold, maybe add a short sleeve layer and don't adjust for the entire tour. Even on single digit mornings starting in the dark, I am generally plenty warm as long as I am moving and transitioning quickly. May be a little chilly if you are standing around on a summit or ridge in a strong wind. Warm enough on the way down. Only time I don't wear this is if it snowing hard. ...
