Atomic Shift 2 16 MN Bent Chetler Binding
Why settle for one when you can have both? The split personality of this binding allows you to flip-flop between walk mode and huck yourself off gnarly things mode. Meet the Atomic Shift 16. The uphill personality deploys its tech-toe touring pins for the ascent, while the downhill personality allows you to crank your DIN all the way to 16. Flipping the hike-and-ride lever, watching the pins tuck away, and stepping into a traditional alpine heel that practically asks you to drop cliffs and rip groomers. The updated toe piece adds a good bit of metal to increase the stiffness, and the heel piece gives added downward pressure, both of which will increase power transfer to the ski. The added metal improves durability at the cost of some extra weight, but you won't notice it once you get that satisfying click into the heel. This binding is for the people who say, "watch this" right before dropping in.
- Metal added to the toe piece gives the binding durability, stiffness, and control.
- The new and improved heel piece gives more confidence when standing at the top of a steep line.
- Chris Bentchetler's artistic touch gives the binding some added individuality.
- MNC compatible means you can click your alpine boots in for a day at the resort.
