Petzl Ange Carabiner
As the smallest and lightest carabiner in Petlz’s lineup, the Ange packs a punch. Working to maximize weight savings without sacrificing usability, the Ange is a joy to use. The MonoFil Keylock gate combines the ease of use of a solid gate with the weight of a wire gate, all while keeping clipping and unclipping smooth and snag-free. The nose of the carabiner has a hole that allows snow, ice, dirt, and debris to pass through, making it perfect for alpine environments. The carabiner’s point of contact with the rope and bolt hanger was widened, increasing surface contact, to reduce wear and friction when pulling a rope. From racking up Petzl Pur'Cams to alpine draws and anchor building, grab a Petzl Ange, or three.
- H-frame design optimizes strength-to-weight ratio.
- Two small holes in the stock reduce weight and allow the use of a small cord to attach a device.
- Monofil Keylock combines the best attributes of wire and solid gate carabiners.
