Hi Johnny,
Of the skis you mentioned, the Head Crux would be the most similar, with a fair amount of sidecut that will still hold an edge with aplomb. Alternatively, the Blacklight 88 from the 24/25 season would probably be the closest in comparison to the Cho Oyus (Same width underfoot, stiff ski, a good amount of sidecut).
You can find that  here

Hi again Jason,
The Crux does have a decently wide shovel, but to reiterate, it doesn't carry the playful profile of a typical powder ski. It is quite carvy and stable in predictable snow.
Without knowing a bit more about your desired use case for the Crux, I might point you towards the Voile Vector Ace. Voile's Ace series features skis with full sidewall construction, giving them better edge hold and stability in crud while maintaining elements of their trademark Voile playful spirit. Hi Katrina -
I think that you are on the right track here. The Gea and the Quattro are made from the same last/mold, but they are sized differently - meaning that to get the same fit, you may have to change mondo sizing from boot to boot.
I would recommend reaching out to us at help@skimo.co with your foot measurements, height, and weight, and we can get a solution sorted for you.
P.S. I would think that getting a tour wrap into a Quattro comfortably would be quite a challenge.

Hi David,
The Tour Tongue in a MV would be your best bet!

Hi Jason,
I would say that the Crux is a stiffer, more directional ski that holds an edge very well. It is farther away from the playful side of the spectrum than either of the two that you mentioned. The TX 94 aims to nail that one quiver ski category - easy to turn and wide enough in the shovel for decent float, but still can be used for those more objective-driven days. The Backland 88 is slightly heavy for its category, making it damper relative to its competition.

Pearl Couloir - Cathedral Peak
Beautiful couloir - definitely worth the visit. We took previous advice and hugged far climbers left of the drainage to gain bench. Very straightforward and not too challenging. There are so many couloirs that it was easy to second guess that we were in the right one but the most obvious c...
