The brakes are interchangeable. The heel piece and brake assembly can separate once you remove them from the mounting plate.

Yep, these are the 2018 edition and the heels do lock down in tour mode when pressed down.

You are correct, the skin will fit. There will be no major changes to the Backland 95 and yes you will just need to trim length and attach tail hooks.

Liming, I would recommend the 166cm length for you. I would say the 174cm is too long.
