My Skiing
My wife Kristi and I are XC skate and classic skiers as well as resort downhill skiers. We have been AT skiing only since the Spring of 2018 but are quickly adopting it as our favorite type of skiing.
My Gear
Downhill skis. I ski on Line Sick Day Skis, Salomon QST Pro 120 Ski Boots, Solomon bindings. Kristi skis on Line Pandora Skis with Look bindings and Dalbello chakra 85 boots. Our skate and classical skis are Atomics and Rossignols because of their greater rigidity than alternative brands.

I slipped while kick turning on a steep climb and the Boa knob (on the Scarpa F1 boot of the ski that slipped) snagged something like a pole or ski tail and it snapped out of its socket. I was able to pop it back in and keep in set by tightening the Boa cable. If the cable is loose, however, the Boa knob will fall out of it socket. Is this something readily repaired at home? In the YouTube product review of this binding, https://youtu.be/pZr55X_xl2E, the optional freeride spacer is mentioned for the Hagan Core binding (https://www.haganskimountaineering.com/products/freeride-spacer-for-core-binding). Do you recommend this? Thanks, Matt
