My Skiing

AT with tele history, ski 10-12 months per year in PNW both at MT. Baker ski area and in surrounding area. Ski moguls, corn, pow, tours, summits, traverses, etc.

My Gear

Six pair quiver with Shift, Vipec and Tecton bindings. Love my spouses Haggan pure bindings almost as much as she does. Thinking of switching out one of the Shift set ups to something lighter but that still has elasticity

Update review after skiing. Now giving 5-stars, (screw size issue aside). TEST: 5K vertical on PNW glaciers after an August "cream" storm. Putting these on my heaviest alpine board (with metal) and carrying to top of Mt. Baker seemed like a good trial. Bindings were very solid and the heel free ride / AFD support was quite noticeable in a good way when popping out of deep carves. By comparison, they felt less vague than the Trab Vario heels and more solid than Raider heels. Keepers for sure, The dilemma now...

Thanks-- good to know; restores faith for sure. That said, I'm not sure what to say about the Trab screws I tried--other than *too thick!* ;-}. I'll be checking on the Dynafit screws because for my 2.5 mm shim, the long Slatnar screws may be too long..... thanks again

Can the TR1 be used with the brake removed?

Hi there- kind of wondering about available lengths. I'm usually on longer skis; DPS wailer 99 192 cm (carve or DIE!), Blizzard Zero G 105s 188, Blizzard Zero G 95 185, On3p Jeffery 186, etc. So is the Zero G 85 in 178 going to be enough??

Greetings! I need something like these to find a better, more forward mount point. I'm assuming once that point is found it will be possible to remove the adjustable tracks and brake for weight savings, correct? Thanks, Pat
