Hi Skimo, I noticed that your Charger Ace weights are a bit lower than Voile has posted on their site (e.g., 3210g vs 3496g for the 185cm length). Just verifying that you indeed verified these on your very own scale, thanks!

I recently assembled Ski Trab mo-mix skins (110 mm) with a BD tail kit and Kohla T-bar tip brackets (110 mm). I attached the tip bars by simply folding the skin over and adding 3 Ski Trab hammer rivets. Pretty simple, and it all works well. I only have a dozen days on them, but am really pleased so far. The traction is great, and the glide is great, seems to be a perfect balance. Note that the glide improves with use, some break in of the fibers I guess. The glue seems to be a nice balance of stickieness...
I have 2.5 seasons on the Hyper Chargers (185, paired with Dynafit TLT 8 Expeds), and I can't say enough good things about this ski. They are crazy light, especially for the width, and really shine breaking trail in deep snow. The downhill performance is amazing, they of course rock the soft and deep, but what really surprised me is the excellent performance on crud, smunge, and hard pack. They do not ski like a light ski, in that they are very stable and confidence inspiring. They do ski like a light ski...
I have 2 full seasons on the TLT8 Expedition. They are comfortable, climb well, and are great to walk in. I love the one throw operation (top buckle + walk mech.), which I can do without lifting my pant cuff. I ski them mostly with Voile Hyperchargers, and they are easily enough boot to drive that ski (108 under foot). I would not rate them as a super warm boot, they do OK on most days, but it is the only boot I have ever had cold toes in. My big complaint is that the instep buckle cables broke on both ...

After some shaving and cutting on the boot sole, the problem is possibly a little better, but still exists. The boot is still stuck in the toe piece when depressing the toe lever to release the toe pins. It is worst when the heel is locked; when the heel is free you can rotate to a sweet spot where the toe pins let go. The new F1 boot works fine with an old TLT Speed toe (the 5-hole one). So, I measured the pin spread when the binder is open and the old Speed toes open to ~69 mm where the new ones open ...
