Is it possible to use the spacer without the brakes or do you need the brakes to fit it?

These are my go to pants for warmer days or moving fast while touring. They breathe great and are water repellant enough for most days, the stretch is very comfortable and the range of motion is great. They fit me pretty well with a more american build, 36 waist 210 pounds and about 5'10 in a size large. The only downside is that the cuffs don't fit very well over boots with the top buckles open while touring but that's common of most softshell touring pants
How do these walk and fit compared to the zero g tour pro? My old zero g's are getting pretty clapped out and these seem like a good replacement.
This is a great axe for those days where you aren't quite sure if you're gonna need an axe but you want to have one with you just in case. It's ultralight and you forget it's on your pack, but it works great for moderate slopes and softish snow. The spike isn't great for ice but it'll give you plenty of purchase for climbing a refrozen gully early in the morning. I wouldn't go swinging the pick into vertical water ice, but for light skimo action this is an awesome tool

This is my go to adventure touring axe, I use it anytime I expect to boot pack. The head fits really well in my hands, it's light enough to bring on your pack even if you're not 100% you're gonna use it, and it's held up to two winters of abuse. I have the blue ice sliding pommel on mine for a little bit of extra grip, all around a great tool for any type of ski adventuring
