ATK Crest 10 Evo Binding

Evolution is a gradual process under which something develops into a different, usually more advanced, form. This Evo-lution of ATK's much-loved Crest binding, the Crest 10 Evo, has done exactly that by now incorporating the more advanced Evo brake system. Previous iterations of the Crest binding featured push-button brakes, akin to our ancient ancestors Homo Habilis, the first known tool users. We then progressed to the AP brake system, analogous to our more advanced but still underdeveloped Neanderthal ancestors. The Homo Sapiens of brakes, the one-hand-operable Evo brake system, helpfully auto-deploys the brakes, anchoring your ski while you step into the pins. The arms are neatly stowed as you step down for your first stride uphill. Having crushed your ascent with this binding's light weight and two magnetic heel risers (plus flat mode), simply turn the heel piece 180° to automatically deploy the brakes, stabilizing your ski while you rip your skins. Then just step down into the heel pins, ready to rip, with brakes locked and loaded.
