Ortovox Ravine 28
The Ortovox Ravine 28 is a modern freeride pack with useful mountaineering-specific features. A rope attachment affixes rope to the top of the main compartment while an ice axe can be stored either in the safety compartment or outside of the pack, ensuring you're covered for all vertical adventures. A side zipper and top roll-top offer easy access to the main compartment and a separate safety compartment provides access to your stowed emergency equipment when you need it in a hurry. Unlike other freeride packs, the Ravine features a quick carry ski system and ski crampon compartment, allowing the user to quickly stow skis and or access crampons without having to take off the pack. When carrying skis or heavier loads, the Full Contact Light Back System evenly distributes weight across the back, helping with comfort on big days. Built to make all your other packs jealous, reach for the Ravine 28 no matter what the day holds.

Questions & Reviews
I just use it like a normal quick-carry! Insert the tails in the lower loop, make sure it's secured around the binding heel pieces, and then swing the skis around. Wrap the upper strap around the skis and clip it back to the higher reinforced loop on the shoulder strap, and then adjust to a comfortable and secure tension! If you have bigger, heavier skis, quick carry can feel a bit awkward/uncomfortable, as it will pull your pack to one side - with big skis, it's not the ideal carry method if you are going to be boot-packing for a significant amount of time. The convenience makes it worthwhile for short sections, however. For lighter, narrower skis, it's comfortable for longer periods.
