This thing is smooth. Great screw mechanism, gate action, and the round stock portion make for an effortless experience. I use it for belay/rappel and to house crevasse kit (Traxion, Tibloc, prussik). As noted before, the bright red marking helps visual inspection too.

My favorite light carabiner to use with gloves. If you have large hands, these might just be the most usable light carabiner period. For warmer conditions and bare hands, I'm able to get away with the Nano 22s to shave a good chunk of weight.

With the carabiners that are fighting for lightness, they all give up size since the materials are the same. The nano 22s are a good compromise that are close to the lightest but with enough size to not get snagged on everything. If I'm using gloves, I'm sizing up to a Photon or similar.

I use this for things that are fiddly and I will be handling with gloves (Tibloc, Traxion, rap plate, etc.). Aside from the keeper cord feature, the screw gate has been very smooth in all conditions.

I borrowed this ski for some resort touring in pretty firm conditions. They have a really fun combination of good edge hold for the light weight but still being easy to pivot when things get tight or slow. As with most skis this light, it did get a little chatter when not committing to the edge. This would make a great do-everything touring ski .
