So far these are my new go-to ski mountaineering and moderate alpine climbing crampons. They are lighter and more packable that comparable models, and the steel toe is aggressive enough to handle steep snow, water ice, and light mixed climbing. Added bonus you can take the middle aluminum section off if you want to lighten it up even further.
When I first got them, I was nervous they wouldn’t perform as well as my Petzl Irvis Hybrids. However, after a couple uses snow climbing, a few days on moderate ice...

I picked up the Akila LT this season with both an adze and hammer attachment to replace my Petzl Gullys and to expand my quiver beyond the standard Akila (the longer model).
The first things I noticed was the lightened overall weight and the improved swing weight of the LT compared to the regular Akila. These are the best in class tech bindings regarding downhill performance. I have well over 100 days on them and have used even used them for the occasional resort day. The bindings are easy to use and the evo system automatically locks the brakes when you are in tour mode.
My favorite features are the elastic travel, and adjustable release value in the toe to match the heel. I have skied these bindings on the Black Crows Atris, Faction Agent 3.0, and Head Kore 117. I haven't had any durability issues and ...

I bought these bindings to use on a pair of Black Crows Solis as a designated steep ski. Before using I was apprehensive about the release value (I weight 195 w/o gear on and generally set release values at 11). However, I have been pleasantly surprised and haven't had any pre-release issues. I like the fact that the vertical and horizontal release values can be adjusted in the heel.
The binding skis very well, and the spacer provides a noticeable difference. I would say they ski better than the Salomon/A...
