Plush: great Weight: great Glue: separates from G3’s new lightweight backer if folded glue-to-glue. Give back some of that weight savings by packing cheat sheets. Lame. Tail fix: awful convoluted buckle is near-impossible to adjust with gloves hands and loosens in use until the strap is well broken in. Lame. Tip fix: disintegrates under normal skis-on skin ripping. If you want these to last, remove your ski at transitions and remove the skin carefully. Extra lame. Durability: any contact with rock resul...

Great reminder, Jbo. Unfortunately forgetting the pads wasn’t a factor here. Power straps are rubbing through to the foam on the cuffs, and the stitches that blew out are around the top edge of the scaffo. Can’t feel any rough or abrasive surfaces in that area. I compared to four other liners I have access to at the house, and the thread used on the flex zone of the Palau’s appears lighter/thinner than three of the other four liners.

I LOVE THESE SKIS. Believe it or not, these have been my year-round daily drivers in Alaska for two years. They have been doing it all for me from powder days to summertime glacier corn harvesting. Of course they have limits, but they're great for more than just powder. They're a fun, playful ski and feather light for the fatty waist width. Pair them with the right tech binding and they practically levitate.

I ordered these as replacements for the Maestrale's factory Intuition liner. They heat molded easily at home, and are warm, comfortable and supportive. They came up short of 5 stars for me because durability has been less than stellar. The soft fabric on the outside of the cuff wears through easily, and I've also had to repair some stitches. If you value function over form, order these with confidence and keep your Gorilla Tape and needle and thread handy for those minor repairs if needed.
If you progress through more than one width of ski throughout the year, and all your toepieces take Dynafit style crampons, these adjustable units are the bee's knees. Frequent width changes are impractical, but for occasional changes these keep you from needing a stable of different ski crampons. Would recommend.
