I purchased these skis as an objective ski because on paper they seem to balance uphill and downhill performance in a way that is second to none. On snow I can confirm that they feel great. They are nice and light for the skin track but puch much harder than their weight would lead you to believe on the way down. They ski soft powdery snow with ease but still maintain an easy to turn nature when the snow gets hard, icey and variable. I've entrusted these skis to accompany me on the haute route traverse as w...

I love the Ski Trab Titan Vario.2 toe pieces. They are unique in design and offer several advantages over a more traditionally designed toe piece. If buying the toes and there is a possibility you may want leashes, be sure to purchase those before getting the binding mounted. The ski trab toes have a special loop of cable with a swaged head that passes through a channel in the toe piece and gets encapsulated when the toe piece is screwed down. They have all the features you want, and nothing you don't, making this a great binding at a low weight and an excellent price. Some may worry about the "plastic" frame but it's proven to be just as reliable as aluminum bindings while providing a damp feel that's more than just marketing hype. A true flat mode is great for road approaches and low angle terrain. Now for the cons: 1. I've never had...
