Volkl Rise Junior Ski

Designed to be fun from the first to last run, the Volkl Rise Junior skis are an excellent introduction to the wonderful world of backcountry skiing. Similar to the adult iteration, this ski features Volkl's signature 3D radius sidecut, lending itself to versatility across a variety of snow types. Underfoot, a tighter radius improves slow-speed maneuverability, while the longer radius in the tip and tail facilitates high-speed stability and deflection resistance. The mixed wood-core uses a denser wood species toward the edges and a lighter wood species (paulownia) in the center. This helps keep weight in check while reinforcing the edges to withstand eventual impact. Full ABS sidewalls help keep the edges biting into firm snow. while the tip and tail rocker allow for a playful, maneuverable ride. Built with similar technology to the adult skis, the Rise Junior skis from Volkl are an excellent option for introducing the next generation to the backcountry.
