This is my go to adventure touring axe, I use it anytime I expect to boot pack. The head fits really well in my hands, it's light enough to bring on your pack even if you're not 100% you're gonna use it, and it's held up to two winters of abuse.
I have the blue ice sliding pommel on mine for a little bit of extra grip, all around a great tool for any type of ski adventuring

Great all-around ski mountaineering axe! I'm a taller guy so I appreciated the 50cm option, especially for moderate slopes. I've tried out a number of lightweight axes (Petzl literide glacier, Gully) but found myself reaching for my Falk for big objectives. Nice for building anchors, chopping, etc. It feels really well-built and inspires confidence, especially for objectives where you're primarily bringing an axe for self-arrest.
If you want the lightest option possible the Hummingbird is probably a good upgrade, but if you want to save a few $ I think the Falk is the way to go. I also appreciate that it comes with a nice one-piece adze+pick protector.
I added the Petzl trigrest off my gully to the Falk and it worked perfectly. Felt like it was a great upgrade for an already solid axe.
