Karpos Alagna Lite Pant - Women

I debated giving 4 stars only because NO POCKETS. However, I love the pants and do appreciate the streamlined presentation. I normally avoid any kind of "extra" stuff, but feel that a couple of discrete, secure, well placed pockets should be essential features for a technical ski pant. One rear zippered pocket, (similar to the one Patagonia used to have on their w's running shorts) and one on the hip or side of quad, also with a low profile zipper, would be great. Even with all the pockets on a ski-mo top, or a ski-mo pack, I always want those specific, isolated, secure pockets on my lower half. They are easy to get to and I dont have to dig into the vest, jacket or pack for small items like: ear plugs, lip screen, or a gel/bar. The fit was perfect for me in the waist and the inseam. Im 5'8", 120 lbs and usually wear a 32 inseam. I got a large because I cant stand tight things around my mid section. (I have a 28" waist.) The elastic waist-band made the drawstring unnecessary and I completely removed it. I have raced and trained in them with no base layer, but there is room if needed. Super comfortable and no binding or chafing. The cuffs fit over my F-1's perfectly and stay where they should, keeping snow out. It has been easy enough to adjust the walk/ski mode at rear of boots, even though the cut out/buckle options weren't designed for my boots. If you are the "Super Racer" type with less boot, maybe you wouldn't want or the ankle zips, but Im loving them!
