Hi got these boots last season and really like them except for the velcro straps which do not really hold if the straps gets any snow on them. Are there any buckles you all recommend that could be used to replace the velcro straps on these boots?

Peter - The best possibility that might work is the Scarpa Maestrale instep strap and buckle. Other than that, the velcro allows the boot to flex, which would be impeded by any other strap configuration.

Can I just buy a bigger size and cut straps down to size?

Yes you can get a bigger strap but they are already fairly long already. It might be worth looking at your other strap and see how much overlap you have left to make sure you have enough overlap of velcro to hold securely.

The size specificity is due to the fact that the kit includes straps, which are size-specific. We are currently out of the kit in your size range, but we are hoping to have more of them soon, if you can hold off for a couple of weeks!
