The patented brakes from Kreuzspitze are cool removable devices that slide into your crampon slot. They are secured by a simple locking switch (included) that is mounted with a single screw under your foot. Take them off when skinning uphill, slide them back on before skiing down. The brakes will retract when you lock your heel into ski mode and deploy when you have a yard sale. Great for visiting resorts which require brakes. Comes in 75mm, 90mm, and 105mm widths that weigh an average of 90 grams (3.2 ounces).
Also available are additional mounts so you can use one set of brakes for multiple sets of skis.
► Note: These brakes are INCOMPATIBLE with bindings that have extended toe plates or connector plates between the toe and heel pieces, e.g. the Radical FT. They are "Compatible" with all race bindings with crampon attachments and touring bindings such as the Speed Radical.
Hey JBo! I was wondering what size you would recommend for the Hagan Cirrus ski (at a 170cm length)? It seems like the 75 would work perfectly. Just wanting to confirm. Thank you!
Hi there, any idea when the 105 mm width brakes will come in ? I was wanting to place an order with some other items that would arrive in Australia to allow for for fitting before we leave on Jan 22.
Hi Magnus, depending on the length of your boot, the 90mm brakes fit perfectly or possibly require just a slight bend to fit the Aspects.

Question from
Bernard
Do the brakes also work with Scarpa F1-boots? Normally there would be those black spacers underneath the soles in order to prevent the boot from too much flexing when skiing down. Are the brakes sturdy enough to serve as replacements e.g. in my Dynafit Speed Turn bindings?
Hi Bernard, your Speed Turns have brakes? I would say these aren't quite as beefy as Radical ST/FT brakes, but can certainly stop a ski. As far as the F1, you wouldn't be able to use supports and this brake at the same time, but the brake could offer some support itself.
