My Gear
Scarpa F1 XT and the Pierre Gignoux Mountain are my boots of choice. Most often paired with the Ski Trab Ortles 90 and Salomon MTN Summit 79. Always skiing on the Ski Trab Gara Titan as God intended.

This is my go-to top for mid-windter outings. It is the perfect amount of warm, breathable and weather proof for just about any day here in the Wasatch. The chest pockets are perfect for storing skins of just about any size and can also carry gloves and other small items that you need quick access for on the up. At this point, it has become a staple in my quiver and I'm not sure how I survived without it!

I have managed to get out and ski the Kilo a few times this season. Overall I think it is pretty great option that La Sportiva brought to the mid weight touring boot category. The most impressive part of this boot is the walk mode. Used these pants for almost every ski day last season. For me they work in almost every temperature and any weather. Everything about this pant is carefully thought out from the material to fit and makes me choose this pant almost every time. As Ben mentioned, the cuff of the pant doesn’t love larger boots but works great for race or lightweight boots. While I have cut a few holes in the cuffs from scraping rocks and ski edges and seen some pilling, the pant is holding up excellently.

I’ve used this top from cool weather running to warm weather skiing. The extra material on the sleeves work well to cover your hands in lieu of gloves when running. Overall a great piece to have in the quiver for a variety of situations.

This has been my daily driver mid layer for the last season. While I do love this jacket, I think it’s lacking some features that you might find in similar pieces which is why it lost a star. Pieces like the Acceleration or Mezzalama Race 2 jacket have outer as well as inner dump pockets and even a beacon pocket with a tether loop. For those of us that go light and fast those are some key features in a mid layer to speed up transitions and carry extra goodies like food/water. That being said, this is still ...
