The fit is adjustable, with an easy-turn dial in the back and a comfort-wrapped chin strap buckle. Choose from multiple sizes of Trab yellow and blue. Ships with a soft carrying case as nice as the Trab skin bags.

I see it is Climbing certified. Is it also certified for skiing? I’d hate to get bucked from a race because the helmet. Thank you

Thanks for reaching out, Nick. This is certified for climbing/mountaineering but not for skiing. While many folks use climbing-certified helmets every day in the backcountry, race organizers may require a dual-certified helmet.

I would be wearing a fleece hat under this helmet most of the time and my head measures 22 5/8 inches or 57.5cm without a hat on which just puts me in a S/M. With a hat on, my head measures 23 1/4 inches or 59cm. That would put me in a L/XL, but what if I'm not wearing a hat? Would it then be too loose? What size would you recommend?

Tony,
I would go with the L/XL. After some extensive in store research using multiple noggins the data leans toward the larger size. All the best!

Quick Question.
Does this helmet work okay with regular goggles if I choose not to use the clip on goggles?
cheers!

Hi Jessie, absolutely! In fact, the matching Ski Trab goggles come with the "regular" strap attached by default. It's a nice feature to affix them to the side, but not necessary.

I've used numerous helmets over the years from BD, Petzl and Camp. The Trab is my favorite for skiing. It is by far the most comfortable in terms of fit. My favorite aspect is that I can easily fit my Julbo Universal goggles under the brim without the helmet pushing them down. Also and even more key is that I don't have to do any silly taping or zip tie shenanigans to hold the goggle strap in place like I do with all other helmets I've had. I don't need to even use the little clips. This is an awesome feature.
