Ski Trab Gara Titan 2.0 Brake Binding
When speed matters, look toward the Italians. Ferrari cultivated a need for speed and sophistication in Italian manufacturing, and Ski Trab continues to bring the same refined Italian manufacturing into the world of ski mountaineering. The Ski Trab Gara Titan 2.0 builds upon the winning culture of its predecessor. With a new aluminum riser comes a new patented brake activation system. A simple flip of the heel riser and slight pressure from the heel of the boot is all it takes to engage the brakes for uphill. That same flip of the riser in reverse disengages the brake and exposes the pins. The meticulously machined metal riser replaces the previous plastic brake activation, making an already durable race binding even more durable, and in doing so, shaves off a few grams as well. The beloved features of the Titan toe piece remain untouched, with only two small but important updates. The toe lever has a slight change in angle to make getting out of the toe piece quicker, as well as a small metal retention pin to prevent the toe lever from overextending. These two updates greatly improve a seemingly already-perfect toe piece. The titanium spring in the toe piece provides elasticity, which helps absorb impact. The new standard in race bindings has arrived with the Gara Titan 2.0!
- The new elegant solution for the brake system makes for very speedy transitions.
- The brakes obviously meet ISMF requirements.
- The same titanium toe spring combined with the improvements is impeccable.
- Improvements to the toe lever prevent over-rotation and allow easier disengagement when milliseconds count.
- Choice of 4.0, 4.5, or 5.0 in Steel U-springs, or save 12g and opt for the shiny Titanium U-spring.
