Plum Race World Cup Binding
The Plum World Cup binding is a premier race offering purposefully crafted to take you from the starting line to atop the winner's podium. Meeting all ISMF regulations, Plum designed a simple yet ingenious race brake that attaches in lieu of a crampon slot and is easily taken off if not required. Unlike most other race bindings, the brake is held up by the toe of the boot, meaning it won't artificially affect lateral release and with its simple and durable design, won't prematurely fail. From dominating the local race circuit to winning World Cup events, the World Cup binding from Plum is sure to have a respected global presence.
- Toe brake is easy to use and affects release dynamics less than traditional heel race brakes.
- Titanium U-spring helps keep the weight down and performance up.
- Release values on the order of 7-ish are appropriate for a wide variety of skiers.
- Impressive weight includes the brake mechanism (included with the binding).
- Crampon attachments and adjustment plates are available as optional accessories.

How hard is it to turn the heel 90 degrees between flat mode and ski mode? I have a pair of older Plum Race 135 bindings and the heel on them can be turned 90 degrees to give a flat mode but the turn is not easy especially with cold or tired hands. I also have a pair of old (~2007) Dynafit original Low Tech bindings that have a heel piece that's always been quite easy to turn 90 degrees into flat mode.

Elliott, The tension to turn the world cup is slightly easier than the 135 heel. The lateral release spring is slightly softer on the world cup so it makes it slightly easier to turn to flat mode. It is nowhere near as easy as the old Low tech heels.

I am currently racing on the plum race 99 bindings and am looking to switch to bindings with brakes to meet regulation. I was wondering if it is at all possible to buy just the toe pieces of the plum race world cup bindings so I can reuse my heel pieces.

Hi Max,
Yes, you can purchase the race toe piece! This binding is a Plum Race 120 that comes with a brake, and we sell Race 120 toe pieces on our Plum toe piece listing here.
