Works as advertised - It is a very snug & forceful fit if you actually want to put a regular sized nalgene in it. I don't notice any bottle bounce with a typical insulated 21oz bottle.

How does it attached to the pack? There are no pictures of the back? Is there a Velcro closure?

Hi Matt,
I'll attach a photo. There are 2 horizontal velcro straps and one vertical, the idea is to attach the vertical strap to any horizontal webbing on the shoulder strap, then use the horizontals to hold it in place.
