I am 5'3" and an expert skier, use to alpine race,
I think I need the 164 cm ski. Am I correct?

Hi Karen, with that background, you could certainly handle the 164. Whether you "need" it is debatable since the 157 would suffice for a lot of applications.

I am currently skiing the Atomic Mavin 162....I need to know if 157 or 164 is a better length for me. How do I know for sure? I just ordered the 164

Hi Karen, we generally recommend going a little shorter than your alpine length for backcountry skis. That makes switchbacks, tight trail exits, and other maneuvers easier. I would recommend the 157 unless you really prefer longer skis. We have that length available in the new Zero G 96W.
