I'm on my second season with this one now and I would say this is, mostly, a well thought out pack. Great for day trips and light-and-fast missions, and serviceable for racing. It has enough space, and the pocket layout makes sense to me which is to say it only has a couple pockets and a couple dividers). What you want in a pack.

Some small nitpicks: I did find the zippers to be a bit small, so I added some cord to the pulls to make them quicker and easier to use with gloves on. This is especially true of the pocket that stores the helmet carry, which uses a small and fiddly zipper that snags easily. But I use that once per tour (if that) so it's a minor gripe. I wish the bungee for the ski carry were a bit shorter so it would retract back into its storage compartment more easily, but there is a little "ripcord" attachment on the bottom to pull it back into place. Of course, if you use it then that part is dangling, but it isn't a metal hook near your face. The bottle holster is also not useful (at least for someone small like me) because it sits too far up on the strap, and cannot be adjusted lower. I took it off and use a soft flask for short outings of a hydration bladder for longer days, the pack works brilliantly with both.

In any case, this is a great pack. It's light, fits me well (I'm small so this is a big deal), and somehow doesn't even make my back that sweaty. It has some small quirks, but most are either easily remedied or just results of my personal preference. Good work, Dynafit.

Question from Amber

What width ski’s will fit into the ski carrying loop?

Answer from Carlos M

Hi Amber,

An Armada Locator 104 is the widest I could fit :) Realistically, it is best suited to skis up to around 90mm, but you can squeeze in a 100-104 as long as the tails are flat.

How do you attach a helmet to the bag?

Answer from Emmett I

Jordan,

There's a small horizontal zipper at the bottom of the pack containing a mesh helmet holder similar to the ARVA Helmet Holder. Dynafit has a video on their youtube channel as well covering the features of the pack here.

Question from Viyat

What kind of avalanche shovel fits this pack into the mesh divider?

Answer from Gabriel I

Hi Viyat, the pack best fits a shovel blade that's at most 22 to 23cm wide. There are separate sleeves for a detachable shovel handle and probe.
