I really love this ski and can’t recommend it enough just wish it came in a little longer size. At the moment this is my only alpine touring ski and has been a really great one ski quiver. I’ve skied it in everything from waist deep powder to pre-corn spring ice and it has excelled in all these conditions I think the hard snow performance is largely attributed to the dampening it has in it. Might have to take my rating down to 3 stars. Just did a 5 day spring traverse in the Canadian Rockies and I was pretty disappointed with how iced up it gets below the heel in front of the heel plate. If you don’t keep on top of it, you can get a crowned dome that is easy to slip off causing a release which happens especially when your sidehilling. Any tips or mods to prevent this? Unfortunately, I only get a few weeks a year to ski but just finished up a 6 day ski touring week on these bindings. I agree with the flavor in the room that the toe piece is amazing and the heel has some drawbacks. Had one release in some deep snow which was annoying but probably legit as I turned my foot a weird way. I did ski a resort day on this setup and felt pretty great and safe. Couldn’t tell the difference between my downhill binding on how it skied. I guess there might be directions somewhere a...
