Got the expert straps (3 elastic bands) as open box item elsewhere in town to use on Fischer Travers CS instead of the Voile straps I usually use (tried both normal and XL.) Drilled the cuff in the center with 1/4” bit. Used one of the nuts that normally dig into the interior plastic on the outside facing the strap because the cuff is thinner than normal alpine boots these are used on. Have Trofeo 6 with leash and adjustment plate kit mounted to Voile V8. Almost perfect light and reliable binding for a light soft snow setup. I don’t think a gapless binding’s performance matters for most if it’s powder and you’re on something like Travers boots; the simplicity is good with the Trofeo. Have used other lightish bindings ( Dynafit Superlite, Marker Alpinist, ATK Crest, Dynafit Speed Turn) too. It skis fine and has low delta for small feet.
