Raide Tour Tech Base Layer Bottoms
We've all been there. A brutally cold alpine start turns into an afternoon sweatfest, making you regretful of your bottom baselayer, buried under too much clothing you ain't taking off till you get home. Taking note, Raide, known for solving problems as only an engineer can, created the Tour Tech Base Layer Bottom. Crafted with a full-length zipper, this nifty base layer can be easily removed mid-tour, allowing you to regulate your temperature while keeping your pants on. The 3/4 design plays nicely with ski boots, while an integrated beacon pocket lets you keep it close for an easy stride. For times when complete removal isn't necessary, the laser-perforated material increases airflow, keeping you dry and improving temperature regulation. Optimized for functionality in the backcountry, the Raide Tour Tech Baselayer Bottom is a versatile piece that will become the star of your clothing quiver.

Questions & Reviews
We've all been there. The night before a big day out and you ask yourself, "should I wear a baselayer bottom or not?" No more! Start the day warm and comfortable, then in the afternoon when you are inevitably starting to overheat, simply drop trow, unzip the sides, and pull them off.
A novel concept, executed quite well. The "slippery" fabric on the face of the leggings makes for friction free movement while wearing the baselayers. The laser-cut vent holes on the sides do seem to make a difference, especially when using leg vent zips. They are also quite easy to remove when needed. I was hesitant at first with the rather strange design of the waistband, and the integration of velcro in that area, but it works really well.
The fit is on the tight side. I am usually between a medium and large with most brands, and my pair of larges feel on the tight side. I'd for sure recommend trying them on before buying it possible.
