Ski Trab Gara Pro Ski
If you want to win, it helps to have tried-and-true, award-winning gear with years of R&D and TLC behind its construction. The Ski Trab Gara Pro ski is just that. Carrying over the same camber, rocker, and sidecut as the retiring Gara Aero WC ski, made with a geometrical aramid honeycomb core construction, the Gara Pro comes in at a low weight, while the soul of the ski is reinforced by Ski Trab's renowned 14-layer construction. This 14-layer construction provides torsional support and vibration control along the edges to reduce chatter throughout the ski. Encapsulating these 14 layers is a carbon cage, allowing the ski to maintain shape and torsionally flex appropriately during carving descents. Edge bridges span the width between the ski's edges; this bridge increases durability and protects the sidewall of the ski from impacts. Between the cage and bridge are the composite aramid honeycomb and wood core, allowing the Gara Pro to come in at a feather-like weight and increasing the strength of the ski's construction throughout its profile. A predictable torsional flex allows the ski to strike a refined balance between a traditionally stiff race ski and one that flexes intuitively to the skier's pressure, maintaining edge contact throughout a turn. An early rise in the tip reduces contact with the snow when gliding on ascents, and a longer, tapered tail allows the skis to fit in your ski carry with less fuss. On the downhill, this gradual tip-and-tail rise increases the ski's flotation in softer snow and improves its handling in variable conditions. The tapered tail gives a more intuitive exit from your turns. Lastly, the 52 HRC steel edges bite into ice and withstand daily abuse on and off the race course. If you're hoping to make the podium or set your personal FKT, Ski Trab has proven itself time and again as a top-of-the-line ski with unwavering torsional stiffness and a unique, precisely tuned ski.
- 14-layer construction makes the ski perfectly balanced.
- 52 HRC steel edges will chew through just about anything - other than rocks!
- Aramid honeycomb core keeps the weight minimal while increasing stiffness.
- High-modulated carbon cage allows for shape retention while also flexing to maintain edge contact on hard carves.
- Bridge between edges increases durability of the ski from side impacts.
- High-density race bases are durable and come with a fine patterned base.
- Ski Trab keeps its 1st-place podium as a top-of-the-line race ski competitor.
