Down jackets are precious in the backcountry, despite too hot to wear while skinning. If you have an emergency, are belaying your partner, or simply waiting for the sun to come around, slip on the Dynafit Radical Down Jacket. It boasts one of the best warmth-to-weight ratios on the market and is a versatile piece of gear that every skier should own. The horizontal baffles form a cocoon of 800-fill goose down which doesn’t migrate over time so your jacket is still warm after a decade of use. The Dyna-Shell ultralight fabric keeps things light and flexible, increasing the breathability and range of motion. The Radical Down Jacket is a versatile piece of gear that should always be with you for pit-digging, casual transitions and descents, working on a field-repair, starting an early dawn patrol, and of course, après-ski. Bonus, it won’t take up an excessive amount of space and you can still pack light.

  • Meets 100% Responsible Down Standard Certification ensuring safe and responsible treatment of animals.
  • Ahletic fit ensures sleek profile whether it’s worn over a lighter jacket or under a heavier jacket.

Question from Alex
I am 5"7" 160 lbs. I have fairly broad shoulders. I am 40" under my arms. I am not sure if a medium or a small would work best for me. What do you suggest?
Answer from jbo
Hi Alex, you might fit the Small as an underlayer, but I would go with the Medium if you want to throw it on over top of something else, and use the hood over a helmet.

Question from Alex
Is there ideal storage for skins on this jacket?
Answer from jbo
Hi Alex, no, this is more of a layering piece. For a puffy with skin pockets, check out the TLT Light Insulation.

Very warm puffy and can be worn anywhere. Love that the side/pits are stretchy for serious activities. Fits really nicely all over and has just the right pockets for the mountains.

Question from Emanuele M
I'm interested in a medium Poseidon that is not available. Given it is an athletic fit and I'm 5 10 and 175, would a large be too big? Should I look into a small? THX!
Answer from Jeff
Emanuele, I tried them on for you. I'm 5'9" 150lbs. The medium fits me perfectly. Tried the Large and of course it was roomier but should be good for a 175lb person. It was noticeably longer in body and sleeve. So if you don't like short sleeves, and maybe not a snug athletic fit, the Large would work for you.

Great jacket. Armpits are a soft shell material, you can defiantly feel heat leaving the area which is nice when wearing on an a windy early morning skin track. Hood is a tight fit over a helmet but can be done.
