Grivel GX LT Hybrid Crampons
If you’ve previously been scared of compact foldable crampons and their seemingly flimsy high-tech cord linking the toe and heel, the GX LT Hybrid Crampons from Grivel are here to put your mind at ease. A unique hinge on the solid connecting bar of the crampon allows compact folding without compromising lateral rigidity. This gives you the packability of the Petzl Irvis Hybrid and the Blue Ice Harfang, but with the security of a rigid crampon featuring a solid linking bar. Six steel front points and four aluminum heel points ensure traction on firm surfaces without weighing you down or dulling when you find yourself front-pointing on rock. Proactive Antibott plates on the front and rear reduce snow build-up on gloppy snow, keeping your crampons functional and avoiding excess snow weight. Long gone are the days of choosing between the crampon performance you want and one that will fit in your 20L skimo pack. For security and packability, check out the Grivel GX LT Hybrid crampons.
